01 / Beverage moments & positioning
Give your drink
a place in the day.
A drink needs a reason to belong. We connect who is choosing, what is happening, how they want to feel and what else they might reach for. That gives the product, package and buyer story a shared direction.
Typical engagement · Three weeks
Talk through your projectWho it is for
Start where you are.
You have a beverage idea, a developed drink or a new product direction, but need to clarify its audience, occasions and reason to be chosen. This is a useful starting point before making packaging or sales materials.
Scope & deliverables
- An approximately eight-page strategy covering audience, occasions, desired experience, choice and alternatives.
- A clear account of why the product belongs, to guide its story and design.
- An optional product/formulation brief engagement, scoped separately. This supports direction for development; it does not include laboratory formulation work.
How we work
From the question
to a clear next step.
Understand the moment
Bring together the product idea, what is already known about the audience and the occasions the drink could serve. Identify the choices it needs to make easier.
Define the reason to choose
Connect the occasion, desired experience and relevant alternatives. Articulate a product promise that can guide decisions across the brand.
Give the team a direction
Organize the thinking into a concise strategy. Use it to align the next stage, whether that is product development, packaging or a buyer conversation.

A social invitation,
carried through.
For Teazy, we worked with the founding team on the new form, formula direction and positioning, then carried the proposition into identity, packaging, copy and retail collateral.
Product development was collaborative. Technical formulation was not solely the studio’s contribution.

A few practical questions
Before we begin.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
Bring the idea in its current form: what the drink is, who you think it is for, where you want it sold and what decisions are unresolved. Existing product samples, briefs or packaging are useful if available.
Do I need a finished formula?
No. The engagement can help clarify a new direction or a developed drink. The state of the product will shape the questions we work through and any separate formulation brief.
Will you formulate or manufacture the drink?
This service covers strategy and, if separately agreed, a product/formulation brief. Laboratory formulation, testing and manufacturing are not included. Technical development belongs with the appropriate formulation and production partners.
What do I receive, and how long does it take?
The core engagement is approximately three weeks and produces an approximately eight-page strategy. It covers audience, occasions, desired experience, alternatives and why the product belongs. We confirm the working schedule around the project inputs.
Can this lead into packaging?
Yes. The agreed direction can inform the product story and packaging brief. Product and packaging design is a separate service; explore the design scope.
